NOMENCLATURE PROPOSALS APPROVED IN JULY 2018

Alluaudite supergroup
A new classification and nomenclature scheme has been approved for the minerals of the alluaudite supergroup. The supergroup is divided into the alluaudite group, the wyllieite group, and the bobfergusonite group.

Discreditation of fupingqiuite
As a side effect of the new classification of alluaudites, the mineral fupingqiuite (IMA 2016-087; see CNMNC Newsletter 35) is not a separate species from varulite and has been discredited.

Complimenti a Sergio e Luigi per la nuova jahnsite brasiliana!

Idem per Luca, sempre prolifico!
In cerromojonite il sistema cristallino dovrebbe essere ortorombico Pn21m.

IMA No. 2018-029, Hg2+3[NHg2+2]18(Cl,I,OH,Br,S)24, without name, is an intriguing mercury nitride.
Interessanti anche l'ossispinello-like, thermaerogenite, CuAl2O4, l'apatite-like a vanadio dedicata a Plinius e gli arseniati di Kampf.
