Abstract:
Comparative characteristics of gold minerals from gabbro of the Uralian Platinum Belt based on the author’s (Kumba massif, Serebryanskii Kamen massif, and Volkovskoe deposit) and literature (Volkovskoe deposit and Baronskoe ore occurrence) data are presented. The studied assemblages are dominated by native gold characterized by the following types: native gold without any impurities, copper gold, and copper–palladium gold. An unnamed phase with a composition similar to the Cu2PdAu stoichiometry has been found in gabbro of the Kumba massif for the first time in the Uralian Platinum Belt and Russia. The formation conditions of all types of gold minerals identified have been evaluated.
